| Matt Messina began his writing career
as a chubby boy. From there he grew taller and as his body developed
into manhood, so did his writing.
In 1983, while in the 5th grade at the prestigious Our Lady of
Guadelupe Catholic School, Matt wrote his first report on the science
of the potato. “It is a tuber. It grows from the dirt.”
He plagiarized the majority of the report from one of his 5th grade
colleagues, and thus began his illustrious literary career.
In 1897, he did not even exist, but in 1987, he did, and like now,
he had a lot of typos. But with the invention of the word processor,
he was able to write faster and more efficient than his Japanese
counterparts and German nemeses.
In Two Thousand Zero Zero, matt partied like it was 1999. But that
is a lot of progressive talk since this bio is only in 1988. It
was that fated year; he released his first literary work, "Burrissimo,
El Burro." A story about an ill-fated journey of a Burro and
his South of the border friends. The story was written in Spanish
and it earned him all sorts of accolades, including an A from Senora
Moffat in Spanish, level 2, sophomore year of high school.
In University, Matt took a turn for the worse and began to write
and publish music instead of words. It was only after years of coaxing
that he came out of retirement to start......THE ASSIGNMENT. It
began around 1998, although the first years have been lost in a
fatal and disastrous "oh I forgot all of those were on my old
computer before I gave it away to charity" accident.
His latest book is entitled, "How Many Times Does A Pixie
Fall Down from the Sky?" It debuted in 2003 to worldwide acclaim
and is currently not on the New York Times Best Seller list!
