Patty Foley is one of the Assignmenteers who has been around since close to the beginning. She is an OG. Over the years she has shared the not so mundane details of dating boys, fishing, and what's really going on in society. More than any other Assignmenteer she has consistently chimed in with "how it really is."

I think we humans are always trying to figure out what is "the thing" that will make it all better. We live in this perpetual state of, "if only I had/was/could do this, then life would be better...". So, when we see something that we are not, we think, "maybe that's the thing that I'm missing... maybe that would make me happier than I am now..."
